It is
from a smoke free home

I received this set at a Title I workshop when I was teaching summer school.
It
consists of 24 cards that measure 5.125" x 3.875" and 24 wooden clip clothespins
.
Each card is divided into 2 parts.
The
upper half is bordered in blue and light blue checks
.
Then, inside a white box, is a word in bold black text.  Above that, in black print, is the following question: What is the prefix in this word?, with the word, "prefix", underlined.
The
bottom half of the card has 3 white boxes
.
Within each box is an answer option printed in black.
The
answer choices may be tricky for some children, as they involve parts of words that look like prefixes with an extra letter(s) or missing a letter(s) at the end, suffixes, parts of words that look like suffixes, and base words
.
The following prefixes are focused on in this set: un, mis, re, dis, non, over, sub, il, fore, semi, im, in, uni, and pre.
To use this set, children simply clip a clothespin onto the box at the bottom with the correct response.  Because the cards are laminated, children could also underline the base word with a fine-tip dry erase marker.
And,
if there is a suffix in the word, they might also circle that
.
Cards could then be wiped clean with a cloth or tissue, at the end of play, so they are ready for reuse.
This
set can be used with either a group of children or an individual child

This set
would make a wonderful addition to an intermediate classroom to be used during Literacy Centers
!  It
would also be great to have in a household with children of that age
!  I am hoping to find this set a good home.
