It can be painted or applied over painted surfaces. This clear tape won't yellow like some others.
3M 8681HS Tape is constructed with a Long-Aging, Solvent-Resistant, Pressure-Sensitive Acrylic Adhesive that is Protected with an Easy-Release Plastic Liner.
Its an Outdoor Grade Polyurethane Protective Tape with shear acrylic adhesive, with a total thickness of 0.014 inch . Applications include Aircraft and Rotor Blade leading edge Protection.
